Last night, on Wednesday, May 1st, two individuals aged 27 and 23 were arrested on the spot for aggravated theft at the Gardaland amusement park. Both residents of the province of Bergamo, one of the two was already known to the authorities.
The theft occurred inside the park, where the two young men stole an iPhone worth 1500 euros and a wallet containing 130 euros in cash. Thanks to the report from the Central Operations and the assistance of the park’s security staff, the Carabinieri intervened promptly.
The capture of the thieves was made possible by the park’s internal surveillance system. The Carabinieri reviewed the cameras and clearly saw the two individuals taking the loot from the storage boxes near a park attraction.
After apprehending the two young men from Bergamo, the stolen goods were recovered and returned to the owner. The Carabinieri arrested them on the spot and they are now awaiting an immediate trial.
