The Municipal Administration of Salò has recently launched an ambitious project for urban redevelopment through the creation of a Public Green Plan, entrusted to a landscape architect. This plan aims to enhance the quality of urban greenery, focusing on improving existing spaces and creating new ones, with particular attention to sustainability and the suitability of plant species for the local environment. The initiative includes a thorough analysis of the current municipal green areas and the development of design guidelines for targeted interventions that can be replicated in various parts of the city.
Councilor Tommaso Cigognetti emphasized that high-quality public green spaces can significantly contribute to the well-being of citizens and the livability of urban areas, without neglecting maintenance costs. Therefore, the Plan represents an important step towards a mindful management of the city’s green assets, in line with the objectives outlined in the administration’s electoral program.
