On December 2nd, **Desenzano del Garda** hosted the presentation of the innovative project “Under The Bridge” by Holidea, a young hub focused on **sustainable architecture** and design. This project aims to transform the city’s historic viaduct into an opportunity for **urban regeneration**, creating a scenic park that integrates greenery and public spaces. Founded by Matia Merli and Luca Bignotti in 2020, Holidea stands out for its approach to integrated design, where the human factor is at the center of architectural solutions.
The bridge, inaugurated in 1854 and rebuilt after World War II, will be enhanced through the addition of steel and wood modules that extend beneath its arches. The project includes multifunctional areas such as conference rooms, restaurants, and urban gardens, utilizing recyclable materials and sustainable construction techniques. With the implementation of photovoltaic systems and rainwater collection systems, the initiative aims to ensure energy self-sufficiency and responsible water resource management, making Desenzano an example of contemporary architecture that is mindful of the environment.
