On Halloween night, Pozzolengo experienced severe acts of vandalism that affected both the environment and the historic center. The Municipality reported an incident in the Cobue di Sotto area, where an entire truckload of waste was dumped and abandoned. Simultaneously, in the town center, bins, flowerpots, and vases were damaged, with litter scattered along the streets. The prompt intervention of municipal staff and the Carabinieri helped restore public order and initiate investigations to identify those responsible.
In contrast to these negative events, the Municipality also highlighted a positive gesture from three local youths who voluntarily offered to clean up the litter strewn across the streets that same night. This act of civic responsibility was praised by the Municipal Administration as an example for the entire community to follow. In response to the vandalism, the Municipality has promised targeted actions and penalties to protect the decorum and safety of the area.
