The walk against violence will take place on September 15, starting from Dro and arriving in Arco, in conjunction with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Participants are invited to gather at 10:00 AM in Piazza della Repubblica, where there will be institutional greetings and a performance by the Le Magnolie choir. The route will take participants along part of the pedestrian and cycling path and through traffic-free streets, crossing Via Roma and Via Arco until reaching Ceniga, before continuing to the historic center of Arco. The event is expected to conclude around noon in the courtyard of the Arco Town Hall, featuring moments of reflection.
This initiative was launched in 2019 following the murder of Eleonora Perraro and has seen participation from the seven municipalities in the area. During the press conference announcing the 2024 edition, new services were also unveiled, including a violence prevention office in Riva del Garda set to open in January. Additionally, the various municipalities are implementing several initiatives to combat violence against women, including self-defense courses and cultural events aimed at raising awareness.
