On Thursday, July 18, the stunning spaces of Palazzo Martini on Via Maffei in Riva del Garda will host a site-specific itinerant dance performance titled “Unstable Relationships Between Walls”. This event, curated by the Hum collective, will begin at 6pm and promises to offer a unique and engaging experience.
The performance explores the concept of relationships between walls through a series of provocative questions: what happens between one wall and another? Do walls, adorned with crooked paintings and postcards, communicate with each other? And if they do, how much do they really know about each other? The choreography suggests that the emptiness between these architectural elements can be an integral part of our conversations or reflections. Perhaps walls are not as stable as they appear; perhaps they have a human dimension that we often overlook.
Details of the performance:
The concept, choreography, and interpretation of the performance are the work of Sara Ariotti, Beatrice Foglia, Sabrina Giordano, Anya Pozza, Kyda Pozza, and Aurora Sbailò. These artists will bring to life a representation that invites the audience to reflect on the apparent stability of everyday objects and their possible humanization.
Part of the “Apparitions” Festival:
“Unstable Relationships Between Walls” is part of the “Apparitions” festival organized by the Compagnia delle Nuvole. This series of cultural events aims to bring art and conviviality to the urban and natural landscapes of Riva del Garda. The festival includes various events ranging from visual arts to contemporary dance, creating a bridge between the public and different forms of art.
This performance offers the audience an opportunity to experience the historical spaces of the city in a new and stimulating way. With its unique atmosphere and profound artistic reflections, “Unstable Relationships Between Walls” promises to be a must-see event for lovers of contemporary art on Lake Garda.
