Giordano Bruno Guerri, President of the Vittoriale degli Italiani Foundation, has sent a letter of protest to local restaurateurs in Gardone Riviera, criticizing the increase in costs for meals provided to Vittoriale employees. Guerri emphasized the importance of the Vittoriale in attracting visitors and urged the restaurateurs to show more consideration towards the museum workers by forgoing the price hikes. He also expressed disappointment with the treatment he received from a specific establishment.
In response, Monica Tessarolo, President of the Gardone Europa Traders Association, proposed a meeting between the involved parties to discuss shared solutions such as meal vouchers and discounts for residents and workers. Tessarolo reiterated the importance of collaboration between the museum and local businesses in supporting the country’s economy. Subsequently, Guerri reported that one of the restaurants involved had decided to keep the prices for the discounted meals unchanged.
