The 33rd edition of the Winter Challenge 2024/2025 has concluded in Desenzano del Garda, an event organized by the Fraglia Vela Desenzano in collaboration with Nauticlub Moniga and the Vela Club Desenzano. The event saw the participation of eighty crews from the main one-design classes, taking place over four days and comprising seven races. The final day offered ideal conditions with a clear sky and a 15-knot peler wind, allowing for three races to be completed before the awards ceremony, attended by Mayor Guido Malinverno.
Among the most significant results, in the Meteor class, “Synergos” helmed by Marco Franchi claimed victory, followed by “Bloody Mary” and “Vedonero.” In the Asso 99 category, the top spot went to “Diavolasso,” while in the Dolphin class, predominantly featuring youth boats, “Baraimbo” secured the highest podium position. The competition also included participants from various local sailing schools. With this event concluded, the Fraglia Vela Desenzano is now preparing for the final event of the winter season: the Gel Laser-Trofeo Barziza scheduled for Sunday, February 9.
