This week, the Mountain Rescue service conducted significant winter exercises in the Gaver area, involving the Valle Sabbia and Valle Trompia Stations of the V Brescia Delegation. The training, held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, focused on the handling and operation of the toboggan for transporting injured individuals in snowy environments. The technicians practiced using various toboggans and proper medical immobilization, simulating real intervention conditions.
Subsequently, on Friday, February 21, a second meeting took place at the Maniva Pass, where eighteen technicians refined their technical recovery maneuvers on rugged terrain. Both events featured the participation of regional instructors from the CNSAS – National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps. Additionally, on Saturday, February 22, around fifteen technicians from the Media Valle Station took part in an avalanche search exercise in Lincino, focusing on the use of the Artva device and the medical procedures for first aid. These activities are essential for ensuring the operational effectiveness of the rescuers and promoting the technical growth of the volunteers.
