The Province of Brescia and the Spedali Civili have recently signed a memorandum of understanding to support individuals with disabilities in their employment inclusion, aiming to enhance their quality of life, personal autonomy, and psychosocial well-being. The agreement outlines the creation of pathways for social and labor integration, activating synergies between public services and the multidisciplinary teams of the ASST. This approach seeks to facilitate access to the job market for disabled individuals by ensuring personalized support and tangible opportunities.
Simona Tironi, the Councillor for Education, Training, and Employment, emphasized that this initiative represents an important step towards a more efficient and inclusive network. The protocol will last for five years and will focus on defining individualized projects for each participant, while also promoting awareness among local businesses about the importance of employing individuals with mental and intellectual disabilities.
