Two communities are mourning the tragic loss of Alberto Tedeschi, a 50-year-old construction contractor from Tignale, who passed away on Saturday morning due to a workplace accident during renovation work on a building in the Oldesio area. The funeral will take place tomorrow at 10 AM at the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta in Gardola. The accident also involved another worker, a 52-year-old Albanian resident of Gargnano, who was transported in critical condition to the Civile Hospital in Brescia, but his condition is improving.
The news of Tedeschi’s death has deeply affected both Tignale and Gargnano, where his wife Simona resides. Tignale’s mayor, Daniele Bonassi, described Alberto as a always helpful and well-liked member of the community. In a sign of mourning, several religious celebrations and scheduled events have been canceled, including the annual procession for the transportation of the statue of the Madonna di Montecastello. Alberto leaves behind his wife and three children, as well as other family members.
