A 39-year-old worker from Calabria has died in his sleep in Lonato, where he was employed at the Tav construction site. The death, which occurred yesterday morning, December 1st, is believed to have been due to a heart attack. The man had been on assignment for several months and had spent the previous evening with friends and his partner, who had come from Calabria to be by his side. He was found lifeless in the mobile home that accommodated him after his colleagues raised the alarm when they had not seen him and received no response to their messages.
Emergency services confirmed the death shortly before 1:00 PM. The carabinieri ruled out the involvement of third parties, and initial investigations supported the hypothesis of death from natural causes. This tragic event follows other incidents at the Tav construction site in Lonato, where similar safety-related episodes had previously occurred. The worker’s remains are now with the family for funeral arrangements.
