According to the Province of Brescia, the works on the bridge over SP572 in Manerba del Garda are nearing completion. This may cause some disruptions to traffic, but it is expected that the situation will return to normal once the works are finished.
The Province of Brescia has specified that, once the first phase of the works on the bridge’s extrados is completed, a new road surface will be laid. To minimize disruptions to city traffic, a system of alternating one-way traffic with the use of flagmen will be implemented. This will ensure the smooth flow of normal traffic during the execution of the works.
After completing the first phase of the works on the bridge’s extrados, a second phase is planned, which will involve the lower portion of the structure. The objective will be to consolidate the structural elements of the bridge to ensure its stability and long-term safety.
Currently, the works on the bridge are approximately 50% complete. Despite this, the Province of Brescia has expressed confidence in the timely completion of the works and the full restoration of the road.
Regarding the financial aspect, the budget for the works on the bridge over SP572 amounts to €640,000. This sum will be covered by various sources of funding, including €320,000 from Regional Law 24/2019, €270,000 from provincial funds, and €50,000 from the M.E.F. 1/2020 Ponti bacino del Po.
