The Giallo Garda Festival arrives at the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera with the presentation of a new book by author and journalist Aldo Dalla Vecchia, titled “Irresistibili. 70 Women Who Made the Small Screen Great”. The event will take place on Sunday, November 24, 2024, as part of the OFF Program of the Eredità delle Donne festival, dedicated to female empowerment and now in its seventh edition, featuring a total of 423 initiatives in various cities around the world, including Budapest and São Paulo, Brazil. During the presentation, Dalla Vecchia will be joined by Laura Marsadri, president of the Giallo Garda Festival, and publisher Lorenzo Bernasconi to discuss the book, which is already in its first reprint within just a few weeks.
The book serves as a tribute to the women who have influenced the first seventy years of Italian television, including historical figures like Alda Grimaldi and Wilma De Angelis, as well as contemporary personalities such as Maria De Filippi and Milly Carlucci. In addition to the author’s personal memories of these leading ladies, the volume features images created using Artificial Intelligence to accompany each chapter. The preface is written by Silvana Giacobini, one of the most respected figures in the Italian television landscape.
