The Calvisano Steelworks, part of the Feralpi Group, have announced an investment exceeding 13 million euros to enhance their ecological and energy transition strategy. This initiative aims to reduce the environmental impact of the facility through the installation of a new extraction hood and a photovoltaic park with a capacity of 3.9 MW. The project was presented to local stakeholders during the “InnovAZIONI sostenibili” meeting, which included a tour of the production facilities.
Additionally, the plant has received the EMAS Environmental Declaration, confirming its commitment to managing environmental performance. Giovanni Pasini, president of the Steelworks, emphasized that despite the challenges in the steel market, the company continues to invest in sustainability to maintain international competitiveness and contribute to the well-being of the local community. The mayor of Calvisano, Angelo Formentini, highlighted how such initiatives strengthen the bond between the company and the territory.
