The seventh edition of Gardacon, the comic book, gaming, and pop culture fair held at the Montichiari Exhibition Center, was a great success with a total of 28,000 attendees. This event, which attracts visitors from all over Northern Italy, continues to grow with each edition, becoming increasingly prominent on the national scene.
The festival offered a rich program of shows and activities for the numerous fans of comics, games, video games, and cosplay. Gardacon is not just a fair, but a true celebration that brings generations together in the name of fun. Organized by Centro Fiera S.p.A., this exhibition dedicated to the ninth art and pop culture has established itself in a few years as a reference point in the region and beyond.
The event featured exhibitors from all over Italy and numerous themed areas dedicated to arcade video games from the 80s and 90s, wooden games, board games, modeling, and the science fiction area. Gardacon offered fans 25,000 square meters of initiatives and stands.
Among the special guests were Cristina D’Avena and Giorgio Vanni, the iconic voices behind the animated cartoon theme songs, who gave thrilling live performances of their greatest hits. In addition, a new initiative called “Amarcord” was introduced, a dubbing gala that awarded the most iconic voices in the geek world.
Ezio Zorzi, director of Centro Fiera Montichiari, expressed great satisfaction with the success of this edition and confirmed the appointment for the autumn edition, which will take place on November 9th and 10th. The goal is to continue growing in terms of visitors and exhibition space, always offering new confirmations and important innovations.
