A 40-year-old man from Germany, wanted for murder and theft, was arrested in Bardolino on July 23, 2024. The local police operation was initiated after a patrol noticed suspicious behavior from the man, who was wandering around the town in a vehicle with German license plates. Following confirmation of his identity by the German police, local law enforcement proceeded with his arrest.
During the search, the man was found in possession of €3,800 in cash, cocaine, marijuana, and fentanyl, as well as a firearm with its serial number erased. He was then transferred to the Montorio prison, where he will face charges of drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons. The operation was praised by Mayor Daniele Bertasi for its contribution to the safety of citizens.
