A 47-year-old foreign tourist fell during a hike in the woods above the hamlet of Piovere di Tignale, sustaining injuries to her limbs that prevented her from continuing. The incident occurred this morning, July 1, 2024, near the famous waterfalls in the area. The alarm was raised shortly after 10 a.m. and immediately prompted a rescue operation.
Alpine rescue personnel and the Fire Department from Salò intervened on the ground, while a helicopter rescue team from Verona located and retrieved the woman shortly before noon. The tourist was then transported to the Poliambulanza Hospital in Brescia to receive the necessary treatment.
