Lonato del Garda is gearing up to host the **67th Regional Agricultural, Craft, and Commercial Fair**, scheduled for January 17-19, 2025. This event serves as a significant opportunity for fostering local agricultural traditions and promoting gastronomic events that attract visitors from across the region. With the support of local and regional institutions, the fair aims to offer a rich program of cultural activities, culinary experiences, and entertainment.
### Organization and Team at Work
The organizational machinery has been in motion for several weeks, following the conclusion of the previous edition in February. Michele Ugolini has been reappointed as the Fair Director, alongside President Laura Giacomelli. The committee consists of experienced members such as Fabio Delpero, Marco De Stefano, Morgana Tognato, and others, all dedicated to ensuring a successful event.
“We are pleased to announce the commencement of preparations for the Lonato del Garda Fair! An event rich in tradition and fun,” stated Laura Giacomelli. The president also emphasized the importance of collaboration with the committee to provide visitors with a memorable experience.
### A Rich Program of Activities
The program includes a series of highly anticipated events for both residents and tourists. Among these is the Grand Opening Gala, scheduled for January 10, 2025, organized by Diego Frera. Additionally, there will be the “Töt Porsèl” gastronomic circuit, involving about twenty local restaurants in culinary initiatives.
The culinary competitions “El salam pö bù de Lunà” and “Sant’Antone chisöler” will offer opportunities for both competitors and the audience passionate about local cuisine. Thematic conferences will also enrich the cultural offerings throughout the fair week.
### An Event with Institutional Recognition
The fair is sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forestry, as well as by the Lombardy Region and the Province of Brescia. “The Lonatese Fair represents a fundamental event for supporting and promoting the agro-food and artisanal system of our territory,” commented Massimo Castellini, Councillor for Agriculture.
Another attraction will be the second edition of the Mayors’ Gymkhana, where local mayors will compete in driving tractors on a timed course. This year will also feature the traditional Sunday tractor parade through the town.
### A Showcase for Local Traditions
“Our Fair has been a symbol of local traditions for 67 years,” stated Mayor Roberto Tardani. “It consists of historical initiatives reaffirmed each year alongside new ideas born from collective effort.” The event thus represents an extraordinary showcase to highlight the productive potential of the Lonato area.
