A4 Incident in Calcinato: Traffic Gridlock Between Desenzano and Brescia Est On the morning of Friday, February 28, a serious accident occurred on the A4 motorway in the Calcinato area, causing significant disruptions for motorists heading towards Milan. Around 9 AM, a tanker carrying sewage overturned, resulting in a complete traffic standstill. Fortunately, the 35-year-old driver sustained only minor injuries and was transported in green code to the Città di Brescia hospital.
The removal operations conducted by the Fire Brigade and the Traffic Police led to long queues, reaching up to 6 kilometers between the Desenzano and Brescia Est exits by around 12:30 PM. To ensure safety during the operations, the motorway was closed with mandatory exit at Desenzano, leaving motorists stranded as they awaited the reopening of the roadway.
