An A4 accident forced the closure of the motorway section between Sirmione and Peschiera del Garda on the afternoon of Sunday, February 23. The accident, which occurred around 1:30 PM, involved several vehicles, including heavy trucks, heading towards Padua. The fire brigade from Brescia and emergency medical services promptly responded to the scene to manage the situation. Three motorists, aged between 25 and 46, were involved; one was transported in yellow code and another in green code to the hospital in Desenzano.
The impact on Peschiera del Garda traffic has been significant, with traffic jams exceeding three kilometers and motorists required to exit the A4 at the Sirmione toll booth. The situation is currently being monitored by the relevant authorities as the removal of the crashed vehicles continues.
