The ASST Garda has established an Infectious Disease Hotspot in Gavardo, which will be operational starting Monday, December 16. This clinic, located at the Blood Test Point of Gavardo Hospital, will be available seven days a week from 8 PM to midnight, providing assistance to patients with mild respiratory conditions outside the opening hours of general practitioners. Access is free for residents over the age of six who are registered with the Lombardy Regional Health Service, and this initiative represents an experimental response from the Lombardy Region to address issues related to influenza.
The service does not allow direct access; citizens must contact the Harmonized European Number 116117, where an operator will assess the need to schedule a visit. The Hotspot is equipped with advanced diagnostic devices for detecting various respiratory viruses, and during the holiday season, opening hours will be extended. In the case of clinical emergencies, patients will be directed straight to the Emergency Room.
