Gardone Riviera: Pepper Spray Used at School, Alarm at Caterina de’ Medici Hospitality Institute Today, Friday, February 2nd, a concerning incident occurred at the Ipseoa Caterina de Medici in Gardone Riviera, where pepper spray was deployed inside the school. A red alert was issued shortly after noon at the school complex on Via Follereau. According to information from Areu (Regional Emergency Agency), seven individuals experienced adverse effects due to inhaling the substance, which was reportedly sprayed by a student in a first-floor bathroom.
After the evacuation of the affected wing of the institution, firefighters and carabinieri from Salò arrived to conduct investigations. Volunteers from Roè Volciano transported one person to the hospital in Gavardo in yellow code due to more severe symptoms, while other students and school staff only reported mild irritation in their eyes and throat.
