However, the poor clarity of the image raised the suspicions of the Carabinieri, who conducted further checks and discovered that not only was the displayed license not authentic, but the man had never obtained a driver’s license.
After being taken to the station for identification procedures, his previous encounters with law enforcement came to light. The car he was driving, registered in the name of his cohabiting wife, was subjected to an administrative seizure for three months and was retrieved by his brother.
