Moniga del Garda is preparing to host a series of artistic events that will enrich the summer of 2024, drawing attention to works that celebrate the beauty and spirituality of Lake Garda. The Multipurpose Hall, located in Piazza S. Martino, will become the focal point for significant exhibitions that invite reflection and appreciation of local culture.
### Closure of Barbara Castagnetti’s Exhibition
August 8 marked the conclusion of the solo exhibition of **Barbara Castagnetti**, an event that highlighted her relentless pursuit of spiritual messages through art. The displayed works included large canvases depicting **Angels** engaged in dynamic dances, characterized by a vibrant use of color. Simultaneously, some more delicate paintings evoked watercolor techniques, showcasing blue hues that portrayed the interiors of the Church of San Martino and scenes from the local harbor. These creations offered visitors an opportunity to meditate on profound and timeless values.
### “Lake Garda, the Autumn to Come”: A New Exhibition
From August 10 to 20, 2024, an exhibition titled **“LAKE GARDA, THE AUTUMN TO COME”** will take place, featuring local painters **Giulia Anzi** and **Marco Boselli**. The visiting hours for this exhibition will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This initiative is part of the summer event calendar during Ferragosto, presenting works inspired by the upcoming autumn season.
The exhibition is the result of in-depth historical and narrative research conducted by the two artists as part of the **Cultural Association “Stories and Drawings on Garda,”** which they founded to promote innovative cultural initiatives. The displayed paintings will provide visitors with a preview of the autumn beauty of the Garda area, highlighting how the mild climate still allows for pleasant walks along the meadows and shores of the lake.
The artists’ works convey evocative images of the coming months, capturing the essence of nature as it adorns itself in warmer colors. Through artistic representations of picturesque foliage, vineyards ready for harvest, and sun rays illuminating the reeds, visitors will be invited to admire and protect this unique natural heritage.
### Inauguration of the Exhibition “Reflections on the Lake”
At the end of August, the inauguration of the solo exhibition **“REFLECTIONS ON THE LAKE”** by artist **Danilo Rossi** is scheduled for August 30 and will be open until September 10. This exhibition will present lakeside glimpses rendered through techniques inspired by Impressionism. The works have previously been admired in various locations along the lake and promise to offer new visual experiences to attendees.
