A 40-year-old train conductor was stabbed on the afternoon of Monday, November 4, at the Genova Rivarolo station during a ticket inspection. The attack, carried out by a young Egyptian man, has led unions to call for a national strike on Tuesday, November 5, which will take place from 09:01 to 16:59. This strike will impact regional and suburban trains, as well as airport services in Lombardy, with possible cancellations and changes to routes.
The guarantee time slots, scheduled from 06:00 to 09:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00, will not be affected by the strike. Trains departing before 09:00 and arriving by 10:00 will still reach their final destinations.
