A 26-year-old man, residing in Roè Volciano, was arrested on Friday afternoon in Salò after assaulting two local police officers. The incident occurred while the man, already known to law enforcement, was receiving medical assistance for alcohol intoxication. The situation escalated when, upon the arrival of the authorities to support the rescue efforts, the 26-year-old began to act out, first verbally and then physically attacking the officers.
After hitting one of the women by slamming the police car door against her shoulder, causing damage to both the police vehicle and the ambulance, the Carabinieri from the Salò Radiomobile Unit were alerted and proceeded to make the arrest. The man is now facing charges of damage, resisting arrest, and assaulting a public official, and a precautionary measure of house arrest has been imposed on him.
