A 45-year-old man from the province of Brescia has been in Castiglione delle Stiviere following a failed robbery that occurred on December 3 at the Ceresara post office. The individual, who arrived with his face covered and armed with a pistol, threatened the staff in an attempt to obtain cash. However, upon finding no money in the cash register, he managed to escape empty-handed.
The investigations conducted by the military shed light on the incident through the analysis of surveillance footage and other collected evidence, such as a change of clothing to evade law enforcement and the vehicle used in the getaway. On January 22, the Carabinieri executed a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge at the suspect’s residence, bringing his time on the run to an end.
