Volta Mantovana: Attempted Armed Robbery, Two 22-Year-Olds Arrested An attempted robbery occurred at a bar with a slot machine area in Volta Mantovana on the evening of Friday, December 27. A young man, armed with a pistol, burst into the establishment demanding that the owner hand over the cash. However, the owner’s firm reaction caught the robber by surprise, prompting him to flee empty-handed. Following the incident, the owner immediately contacted the carabinieri.
The police swiftly arrived at the scene and began their investigation, examining witness testimonies and footage from surveillance cameras. This effort revealed that the robber was not alone; an accomplice was waiting outside. Thanks to the information gathered, the officers identified and arrested the two 22-year-old Italian criminals, one residing in Redondesco and the other in Ceresara. They are currently being held in Mantova prison in preventive custody, awaiting trial.
