Bardolino is preparing to commemorate the **International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women**, a significant event celebrated on November 25th. In anticipation of this occasion, the events organized by the Provincial Commission for Equal Opportunities and the 38 municipalities in the area were presented in the Red Room of the Scaligeri Palaces. Among the participants, the Municipality of Bardolino has confirmed its active involvement through three events aimed at raising **awareness among women** and the community on this pressing issue.
### Scheduled Events
The first of the three events will take place on November 23rd with the “Cammino in rosso.” This walk, open to all, will follow cycling and pedestrian paths from Caprino Veronese to Affi, covering a total distance of about 7 kilometers. Participants are to gather at 9 AM in front of Palazzo Carlotti in Caprino. During the event, the partnership with Telefono Rosa will be renewed; a participation fee of 5 euros is required, which will be entirely donated to the association (for information and reservations, contact Loredana at 348.6602020).
### Fitness and Culture at Lido Mirabello
Also on November 23rd, at 4 PM at Lido Mirabello in Bardolino, “Women for Women” will take place, an event dedicated to fitness and open exclusively to women. This meeting will feature a combination of self-defense exercises, breathing techniques, and yoga. Admission is free, and participants are advised to wear sports clothing.
### Theatrical Performance on the Theme of Violence
Finally, on November 25th at 9 PM at the Corallo Theatre, “Tomato Soap,” a “theatre-novela” created by Manimoto, will be performed, addressing the theme of gender violence. The performance tells the story of Gianni and Gilda, two life-sized foam puppets, following the evolution of their relationship until the critical moments where violence emerges as a central theme. At the end of the performance, there will be a discussion led by Margherita Forgione, a psychotherapist from the Due Palazzi Prison in Padua, who will engage with the audience and actors on the topic addressed. Admission to the event will be free.
