On the occasion of the feast of Saint Ercolano, the beach in the Benella area of Toscolano Maderno will be closed to the public on Sunday, August 8, 2024, from 12:30 PM to midnight. This closure has been implemented for safety reasons, in anticipation of the fireworks display scheduled for 11 PM in the Gulf of Maderno. The closure also affects the adjacent public park.
The municipal administration has emphasized that this is not an ecological alert, but rather a precautionary measure. In the context of the celebrations, a petition has emerged, launched by Monica Tessarolo, president of the Gardone Europa association, which has already gathered around 6,000 signatures to promote the use of silent fireworks accompanied by music.
