On July 20th, at 9:00 PM, the Courtyard of Palazzo Pastore will host an unmissable music event for lovers of Blues and Black Music. The protagonist of the evening will be LeBron Johnson, an emerging talent in the Italian music scene.
LeBron Johnson, originally from Nigeria and a resident of Italy since 2017, has quickly won over audiences with his powerful and refined voice. After starting his career in a Gospel choir, he has dedicated himself to Black music, ranging from Soul to Funk with R&B influences. His ability to arrange famous songs and compose original pieces has made him a prominent figure in the genre.
The evening will see LeBron Johnson performing with his band, a recent but already solid collaboration with guitarist Andrea Pititto, known as Andy Pitt. This musical project aims to create a bridge between traditional Blues and the sounds of New Soul.
Andy Pitt, a guitarist known for his collaborations with artists such as Henry Carpaneto and the Fog Eaters, will be joined by highly experienced musicians: Alberto Pavesi on drums (who has played with Omar Pedrini, Sonohra, Gloria Gaynor, Fabio Concato, and Ligabue), Filippo Romano on organ and keyboards, and Davide Medicina on bass.
The concert will feature a selection of covers of great hits as well as original songs composed by LeBron Johnson himself. The event promises to be a celebration of Black music in all its nuances, offering the audience a unique sound experience.
In case of bad weather, the event will be held at the Teatro Sociale to ensure the performance still takes place. Admission is free for all those who wish to attend this special evening.
