The Coast Guard recovered the body of a man from Lake Garda, between Desenzano and Sirmione, on September 21, 2024. The discovery occurred about one hundred meters from the shore, and the man, who appeared to be between 45 and 50 years old, did not have any identification documents with him.
The authorities are conducting investigations to establish the victim’s identity under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Brescia. The Carabinieri, local police, and an ambulance from 118 also responded to the scene to confirm the death. The man was wearing clothes and had a ticket for a Navigarda ferry in his pocket.
