On Saturday 27th, the presentation of the book “Ave Maria grazia plena, fa’ che no sόna pù la sirena. 1940 – 1946, dai racconti degli anziani di Arco” will take place in Arco, published by Il Sommolago. The volume, edited by Giorgio Vivori and Romano Turrini, is the first issue of the 2024 edition of the magazine.
The event will be held at 5:30 pm at the Auditorium of the Oratory “S. Gabriele” in via Pomerio in Arco. Admission will be free.
The book represents an important contribution to the historical memory of the city of Arco during the years of World War II and the post-war period. Through the stories of the local elderly, the events and experiences of those difficult years are retraced.
The presentation will be an opportunity to deepen the knowledge of this part of local history and to pay tribute to those who lived through those times and passed down their testimonies.
This is a culturally significant initiative that helps keep collective memory alive and reflects on the past to better understand the present.
The event is open to all those interested in discovering new details about the history of Arco during the war and post-war period. It will be an opportunity to get closer to a reality that is often forgotten or little known, but that deeply marked the lives of many people.
