A delegation from Visit Brescia is currently on a promotional mission in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, aiming to establish and strengthen business relationships to boost Arab tourism to the Brescia province. Comprising Vice President Andrea Mattia Maggioni and CEO Graziano Pennacchio, the delegation has scheduled a series of meetings with local tour operators, travel agencies, and airlines, including ITL STTB and Fly Dubai. This initiative is part of a broader tourism promotion project designed to increase the visibility of the Brescia destination beyond European borders.
In the past three years, tourist arrivals from Saudi Arabia to the province of Brescia have shown significant growth, supported by direct flight connections to Italian airports. In 2022, the number of travelers from the Middle East to Italy saw a remarkable increase of 164% compared to the previous year, highlighting the growing interest in our country. With this mission, Visit Brescia aims to diversify tourism sources and attract new market segments interested in Made in Italy, thereby contributing to local economic development.
