“The Frost Border”: A Documentary on the Trentino Mountains and Holocaust Remembrance Day
A new documentary film titled “The Frost Border”, directed by Gabriele Donati, delves into forgotten stories and moments of heroism that took place among the Trentino mountains. This cinematic project draws inspiration from the narratives of Professor Marialuisa Crosina, who has reconstructed significant events related to the persecution of Jews during World War II.
The events depicted in the documentary intertwine with the theme of Holocaust Remembrance Day, offering a dramatic portrayal of pain and courage. The film’s narrative centers on a true story in which a Jewish family in flight finds salvation through the intervention of a priest, tragically betrayed by the Titini. The account also highlights the heroism of renowned climbers, some of whom sacrificed their lives to save others.
