A significant project for the undergrounding of power lines has recently been completed in Castelnuovo del Garda, bringing substantial benefits for both residents and the local landscape. The company E-Distribuzione, part of the Enel Group, executed a project that involved the installation of 3 kilometers of new, fully underground medium-voltage line, replacing a previous overhead line. This modernization not only enhances the quality of electrical service for thousands of customers, including local tourism and commercial activities, but also contributes to the energy transition by reducing visual impact and increasing the network’s resilience against weather events.
Mayor Davide Sandrini emphasized that this initiative represents a significant step towards environmental and landscape protection, thanks to the removal of overhead cables that obstruct the panoramic view. With a total investment of approximately 250,000 euros, the project is part of a broader program dedicated to the development of Smart Grids and the integration of renewable energy sources, highlighting the community’s commitment to sustainability and technological innovation.
