According to data provided by ATS Brescia, breast cancer remains the most common neoplasm, affecting 925,406 women. This accounts for nearly 45% of women living after a cancer diagnosis. Following this, prostate cancer ranks among the most frequent, with 484,882 men still alive after such a diagnosis.
The statistics also highlight other significant cancer types: colorectal cancer affects 442,634 individuals, distributed evenly between genders; while bladder cancer accounts for 300,246 cases, predominantly among men. Other relevant types of neoplasms include thyroid cancers (235,989 cases, mostly in women) and melanomas (221,015).
