A wild chase took place on the night between Saturday and Sunday in the streets of Valtènesi, involving a 32-year-old local man. The incident began in Moniga, where the young man abruptly changed direction as a patrol car from the local police passed by, catching the officers’ attention. Despite attempts to stop him, the man accelerated towards Desenzano, reaching speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour and passing through several towns such as Manerba and Lonato. The chase ended at a roundabout on Via Marconi, where law enforcement was able to block the vehicle.
Once stopped, the 32-year-old initially refused to undergo a drug test but later admitted to being under the influence of cocaine. In the trunk of his vehicle, officers found an axe. The young man was charged with driving under the influence, resisting a public official, and carrying a weapon. After spending a night under house arrest, he was tried in a fast-track court, resulting in the revocation of his driving license and the seizure of his vehicle.
