Moniga del Garda is gearing up for a festive Christmas season filled with events and activities for both adults and children, organized by the Municipality, the Proloco, and the Parish. From November 30 to January 6, the town will come alive with concerts, markets, shows, and moments dedicated to tradition, transforming the village into a center of celebration and community.
The festivities kick off on **November 30** with the “Musica Divina Choir Festival,” taking place at the Parish Church at 8:30 PM. This event, organized in collaboration with Cori Lombardia, promises a captivating musical experience, officially marking the start of the Christmas season.
On **December 7**, at 6:30 PM, the ice skating rink will be inaugurated in Piazza San Martino, remaining open until January 7 with varying hours on weekdays and holidays. The day of **December 8** will be particularly special: from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the “Inna Show” will entertain attendees, followed by the official opening of the skating rink at 4:00 PM. At 5:00 PM, the long-awaited moment of the Christmas tree lighting will illuminate the square, accompanied by the enchanting ice show “Sinfonia on Ice.” Throughout the day, solidarity panettone will be available for purchase to support AISM (Italian Multiple Sclerosis Association).
The Christmas spirit continues on **December 12** with the arrival of Santa Lucia in Piazza San Martino at 8:30 PM. Chestnuts, tea, and mulled wine will be offered to warm the evening. On **December 13**, the Council Hall will host two significant events: at 5:00 PM, the “Christmas Concert on the Road” will feature string instruments like guitar, violin, and cello; at 6:00 PM, the scholarship awards ceremony will take place, recognizing young residents of Moniga for their academic, athletic, and social achievements.
For lovers of crafts and Christmas shopping, the **Christmas markets** will enliven Piazza San Martino on two days, **December 14** and **December 21**, with creative stalls open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. On **December 22**, the Oratory Hall will host a traditional Christmas lunch for those over 70, a reserved event by reservation to celebrate the holiday together.
The year will conclude with music on **December 31**, with a festive evening in Piazza San Martino. Starting at 11:00 PM, the live show “Rock a domicilio” will entertain guests as they await the new year.
The new year will begin with theater: on **January 3**, at 8:30 PM, the Palcocomico company will present the dialect comedy “Ensema en Alegria” at the Oratory Hall. Finally, on **January 6**, the arrival of the Befana will close the festivities in Piazza San Martino at 3:30 PM, with chestnuts, tea, and mulled wine for everyone.
**Moniga on Ice: skating for all ages**
The ice skating rink, set up in Piazza San Martino, will be the center of fun for all ages. Active from December 8 to January 7, it will be open on weekdays from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM and on holidays and weekends from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM. A wonderful opportunity to spend unique moments in a magical atmosphere.

– From December 7 to 22: Monday to Friday, from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM; Saturday, Sunday, and holidays from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
– From December 23 to January 7: open every day, with the same hours. Closed on the morning of December 25 and January 1.
