The western section of the Gardesana road, between Riva and Limone, which was affected by a landslide on March 8th, will be closed to traffic on Tuesday, March 26th from 9am to 1pm for the demolition of unstable rocks. This is the first of two planned closures to carry out the explosive demolition of rocks in the area and subsequent inspections of the unstable slope.
The intervention was previously agreed upon by the mayors of Limone, Antonio Martinelli, and Riva del Garda, Cristina Santi, with the aim of minimizing inconvenience to the population. It was decided to schedule these two closures during the week, in the morning, and only after students and workers have passed through.
It is important to note that in case of bad weather, the intervention will be postponed. The safety of workers and citizens is an absolute priority.
It should be remembered that the Gardesana road will only be closed in the section affected by the landslide, while the rest of the road will remain open to traffic as usual. However, citizens are advised to follow the instructions of local authorities and use alternative routes if necessary.
