The Ponale Path, one of the most iconic hiking trails in Garda Trentino, will be closed from Monday, January 27, until the end of February to allow for maintenance work. During this period, the interventions will include the removal of debris accumulated from rockfall nets, the repair of safety barriers, and the cleaning of the pedestrian and cycling pavement. This closure is necessary to ensure the safety of hikers, who will need to wait a few weeks before they can explore the trail again.
The Ponale is appreciated not only for its spectacular views overlooking the lake but also for the historical remnants along the route, such as the imposing Austrian fortification known as the Tagliata del Ponale. The road is characterized by its profile that overlooks the mountains and is clearly visible from the beaches of Riva and Torbole, making it an unmissable attraction for both residents and visitors to Garda Trentino.
