Until April 30th, alternate one-way traffic will be in effect on the western Gardesana road due to the construction of the Garda cycle path. This restriction will apply to the section between the Limniadi Tunnel and the border with Lombardy in Riva del Garda.
Furthermore, during this period, overtaking will be prohibited and the speed limit will be set at 40 kilometers per hour. These measures are necessary to ensure the safety of drivers and workers at the construction site.
The construction site in question is part of the project to create the Garda Cycle Path in the Trentino region. Currently, work is being carried out on Section UF 3.1, which extends from the Limniadi Tunnel to the border between Trentino and Lombardy. The construction company responsible for the project is Giovannini Costruzioni Metalliche Srl, based in Mezzocorona, Trento.
It should be noted that this section of the cycle path is one of the most expensive: a total of 2,180,000 euros for just 100 meters of cycle track. To put it into perspective, this is approximately 21,800 euros per meter or nearly 22 million euros per kilometer, as if constructing a highway viaduct.
