A few days ago, we talked about the levels of Lake Garda, which were essentially stable. This morning, the Garda Community announced an update, shared with all the mayors of the Garda region, confirming that the situation is under control. The water level, measured today, is 134 centimeters above the hydrological zero established in Peschiera. Currently, there is a downward trend in the water level.
To regulate the flow, the regulating building is releasing 140 cubic meters of water per second. However, starting from Monday, a reduction of several tens of cubic meters per second is expected. This measure is necessary to allow essential maintenance work along the Mincio River, part of the lake diversion system. The objective is to ensure hydraulic protection of the Mantuan territory.
The announcement comes at the beginning of the tourist and irrigation season. The prospects for these activities are described as excellent, a positive sign both for the local economy and for visitors to the lake.
