The Democratic Party of Desenzano del Garda has submitted an interpellation regarding the green area of Madergnago. The objective is to make this area accessible by creating a fitness trail, in collaboration with the Italian Alpine Club (CAI).
Maria Vittoria Papa, the PD group leader in the City Council, emphasized the importance of not forgetting this issue and asked Mayor Malinverno and Councilor Avanzi to express their position on it. Papa highlighted the need for the administration to publicly engage with citizens on matters concerning the city and the choices that will affect its sustainability in the coming years.
Bernardo Comini, a PD councilor, added that the enhancement of the green area of Madergnago is not included in the list of long-term relevant public works. Therefore, he proposes a low-cost enhancement intervention, consisting of setting up a fitness trail that extends from the Madergnago green area to the existing Madergnago loop, designed in collaboration with the CAI. Additionally, he suggests the inclusion of trees and relaxation facilities along this trail.
The intention is to achieve an aesthetically pleasing result that is appreciated by citizens, including minority councilors. Comini has attached images showing how the Madergnago area and the green space along the Madergnago loop could look with trees and relaxation facilities.
