An important initiative took place in Sirmione, where the volunteer association Amici di Rovizza donated an equipped vehicle for the transportation of disabled individuals to the Sirmione Social Services. This gesture, made possible by funds raised during the traditional annual village festival, was celebrated on December 21st in a ceremony that featured parish choirs and residents engaged in historical reenactments. The president of the association, Marco Righetti, along with Mayor Luisa Lavelli and other community members, emphasized the significance of the social support provided by this donation.
The donation was also met with emotion by the Social Services Councillor, Elena Boschi, who highlighted how this gesture represents not only an act of generosity but also a significant step towards the inclusion of families with severely disabled children and support for elderly individuals living alone. This initiative reflects a collective commitment to ensuring a dignified social life for all citizens of Sirmione.
