On Sunday, April 6th, at 8:30 PM, the Church of San Biagio will host a highly anticipated Easter Concert as part of the Desenzano Concert Season, organized in collaboration with Garda Lake Music ETS. The event will feature the performance of the masterpiece by Franz Joseph Haydn, “The Last Seven Words of Christ on the Cross,” a composition significant both musically and spiritually, written in 1786 for Good Friday celebrations. The work will be interpreted by the Mole Armonica String Quartet, consisting of Lorenzo Brufatto and Pietro Bernardini on violins, Davide Ortalli on viola, and Amedeo Fenoglio on cello, with the participation of the reciting voice of Valeria Sara Costantin. Admission is free.
The Mole Armonica is an ensemble specializing in early music from the National Symphony Orchestra of Rai, founded in 2015 with the aim of rediscovering rarely performed repertoires. With experience in major Italian festivals and collaborations with renowned musicians, the ensemble has recently presented concerts dedicated to Haydn and is preparing for future performances of “The Last Seven Words.” Valeria Sara Costantin, in addition to being an accomplished actress with a career spanning from national theaters to international festivals, also collaborates with La Mole Armonica in productions dedicated to Haydn.
