Nexi has confirmed that the service disruptions were caused by an outage in the Worldline network, which experienced connectivity issues with its data centers in Italy. Investigations are currently underway to find alternative solutions and restore the damaged physical infrastructure as quickly as possible, while users continue to report difficulties with withdrawals at ATMs and payments via POS systems.
