The Electronic Health Record (EHR) Notification Service has been updated to offer citizens the option to receive electronic prescriptions directly on their mobile phones via SMS or email. This new feature has been introduced in the ‘user profile’ section of the EHR, where a new graphical interface has been added to communicate to the citizen the confirmation/adhesion methods to the service.
With this update, even those who have already used the service to receive the electronic prescription number on their mobile phones must confirm their interest in keeping it active. This can be done through various channels: online, by accessing the ‘Profile and Settings’ section of the Electronic Health Record; at the choice and revocation desks of the relevant ASST; through the General Practitioner/Pediatrician of Free Choice; or at the pharmacy.
The objective of the update is to promote the use of electronic prescriptions directly on mobile devices by Lombardy citizens. To this end, an information campaign has been launched involving Ats, General Practitioners, and pharmacies. The aim is to encourage more people to choose this option, considering the numerous advantages offered by a completely dematerialized system, such as time savings for both doctors and citizens.
