The Eurospin Verona Run Marathon has been announced, an event set to take place on Sunday, November 17, with the race starting from Piazzale Olimpia at 8:30 AM. Organized by the sports association G.a.a.c. 2007 Veronamarathon A.S.D., the event features three races: a 42 km marathon, a 21 km half marathon, and a Family Run of approximately 8 km, attracting over 10,000 participants from more than 60 countries. The event is sponsored by the Municipality of Verona and the Veneto Region, promising a significant economic impact, estimated at 6 million euros, due to the influx of tourists who will be staying in the city for the occasion.
The marathon route will traverse the historic center of Verona, a UNESCO World Heritage site, offering participants the chance to admire iconic landmarks such as the Arena and Ponte Pietra. For Family Run competitors, the start will be at 11:00 AM from Piazza Pradaval, finishing in Piazza Bra. Every participant will receive a commemorative medal featuring the main architectural symbols of Verona and a technical t-shirt to celebrate this event that combines sport and tourism in a captivating setting.
